Cambodians usually sleep early. The people in the city may sleep at 11:00pm. The local people in Silk Island may sleep at 10:00pm. Perhaps the local people in Somrong Village would sleep more early because some of them need to go to the Phnom Penh city for working. If you will visit these rural areas, you shall keep quiet at night in order to avoid disturbing the local people.

Cambodians speak in Khmer, not all of them know English so you better learn some useful phrases and words before your trip.
Khmer uses a phonetic alphabet with 33 consonants, 23 vowels, and 12 independant vowels.

Children are our future. There are some schools in Silk Island and Somrong Village. Schools there only have simple facilities and most of them only have one floor. They have very good attitude on learning and lives. Although they have simple lives, they treasure what they have and cherish any opportunity on learning. You will see they always wear a big smile on their faces. They welcome all the visitors sincerely. When you arrived, they will come around and try to say hello to you.
